Devon Breeze Fischer, M.S

I graduated from the University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee (UWM) in spring 2014. Upon graduation, I was hired as an Educational Interpreter. During summer 2014, before starting my Interpreting career, I enrolled at the Rochester Institute of Technology and completed my certification in C-Print captioning. While working as an Educational Interpreter I found myself wanting to be more involved in my students' direct learning. I decided to go back to UWM to get my teaching certificate in Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH) Education. While in the DHH Education program, I was compelled to broaden my understanding of teaching and also enrolled in the Cross-Categorical Teaching program. DHH is a specialized focus within the Special Education broader field and I wanted to make sure that I could support my students to their fullest. While completing these certifications I worked toward my Master’s Degree in Exceptional Education. I felt it was important to gain all of the knowledge, resources, and strategies that I could to best support my students in their learning and personal goals.

On a Personal Note..

I currently reside in the Milwaukee area; WI. I enjoy filling my free time outside hiking and camping, traveling, reading, and baking.
